According to sub-section (1) of section 26 of the Act, a licensed trekking agency appointed as a representative by a mountain climbing party shall conduct the mountain climbing of such a group, provide workers necessary for mountain climbing, their insurance and health examination. To do this, to prepare applications and other documents on behalf of mountaineers, to pay the amount of taxes and other fees to the Government of Nepal, to facilitate and assist mountaineers in briefing and debriefing work and to carry out emergency rescue work.
